What measures are we taking to stop the spread of COVID-19?
We are following the Center for Disease Control's best practices for childcare programs and schools during this time.
We are also following the CDC's guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting.
We are following the recommendations of the Alger Park COVID Response Team. The doctors, nurses, and other qualified professionals on this team have made and continue to make wise, careful recommendations for the reopening of all areas of ministry at church.
How have we prepared?
The childcare areas have been cleaned and disinfected from top to bottom.
Air purifiers have been placed in some rooms.
Toys and materials have been sorted and cleaned. Toys that cannot be easily disinfected have been put away.
New signage has been posted to remind everyone to wear masks, wash hands, and maintain social distance.
Volunteers are receiving specific training on wearing masks, social distancing, cleaning, disinfecting, identifying symptoms of illness, etc.
What will childcare look like?
Children will be welcomed and loved by volunteers who will share Bible stories and activities with them.
No food will be prepared or consumed during programming.
Room capacity will be limited, so caregivers will need to pre-register their children.
