Each week this group will pick and watch (individually, before the group meets) a movie and discuss. The group will try to nominate and choose movies that are thought- provoking, challenging, beautiful, and/or will initiate good conversation. Please note: some movies we chose may contain adult content.

This group will focus on connecting with other members while working on a personal craft or project. Projects can include scrapbooking, sorting pictures, coloring, knitting, or basically anything that you can do while talking with other people.

Legend says the coffee plant was discovered in the 15th century by an Ethiopian goat herder who noticed his goats wouldn't sleep after eating the fruit of the coffee tree. Word of this fruit spread to the local abbot, who made a drink with the berries to stay awake during evening prayers. Whether you drink coffee to stay awake, or you enjoy it as an experience, this class is for everyone.
We'll spend our time together exploring different methods of brewing, trying different types of coffee, and learning about the overall lifecycle from farming to roasting to tasting. You'll learn some simple tips to make better coffee at home, and hopefully get a better understanding of what you like to drink. |
In the face of the challenge of climate change, there are pessimists who think we are doomed, and optimists who think we have a huge opportunity to create a cleaner, healthier world. Having a plan helps one be optimistic.
This group will read the book, Electrify, An Optimist's Playbook for Our Clean Energy Future by Saul Griffith. Saul is an inventor, entrepreneur, and engineer, recipient of a MacArthur "Genius Grant," and founder of Rewiring America. We'll learn his plan and empower ourselves with his vision. |
A book study of Beautiful People Don’t Just Happen: How God Redeems Regret, Hurt, and Fear in the Making of Better Humans by Scott Sauls.
This book and study center around the fact that we all carry regret, hurt, fear, and other ‘negative’ feelings. These are burdens that weigh us down and make us feel trapped. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Freedom, healing, and joy are available to us even in the midst of suffering. This book and study will help reveal how we can find a new way of living, discovering God’s heart for sinners and sufferers. |
In this interactive group you’ll learn to use your web browser safely and efficiently to find information, how to create documents and spreadsheets, how to share documents, and how to set up online meetings. Novices welcome!
